by Juliet Miles

For years now, the video store was the way to get movies. High speed internet access has now made it possible to download movies right off a movie download site. Let’s look at what you might find to watch using a movie download site.

Michael Collins: Politically charged tale of Irish insurgent leader Collins (Neeson), who with charm, guts, and idealistic fervor leads the battle against British rule in Ireland. Dynamic and commanding first half gives way to more abstinent and unavoidable summarization, in which Collins is made an ambassador and negotiator, sowing the seeds of his own downfall. Neeson is phenomenal and works with a first-rate cast in this convincing, believable, and powerful period piece, beautifully filmed by Chris Menges. Cast includes Liam Neeson, Aidan Quinn, Julia Roberts, Stephen Rea, Alan Rickman, Ian Hart, Brendan Gleeson, and Charles Dance. (132 minutes,’96)

This is an amazing Japanese animated movie. It is written by Katsuhiro Otomo Akira, based on a visual novel by Osamu Tezuka called Astro Boy. Rich backdrops balance with cartoon looking lead characters, although dramatic storytelling and commanding visuals defeat film’s shortcomings. Cast includes Kei Kobayashi, Kohki Okada, Taro Ishida, and Kousei Tomita. (106 minutes, 2001)

Doug’s First Movie: The megastar of Television’s Doug is characterized in this bland, formulaic tale, made exclusively for kids. Easy going preteen Doug attempts to spare an animal in need clash with his wish to take his lady friend to the school dance. This movie was built as a direct-to-video production. Voices of Thomas McHugh, Fred Newman, Chris Phillips, Constance Shulman, Doug Preis, and Alice Playten. (97 minutes,’99)

The Incredible Impostor: Remarkable story of Ferdinand Demara, who triumphed in a assortment of virtuoso guises. Film is episodic and pat. Cast includes Tony Curtis, Karl Malden, Raymond Massey, Edmond O’Brien, Arthur O’Connell, and Gary Merrill. (112 minutes,’61)

Strange Illusion: Enthralling however unconvincing melodrama, a B-film update of Hamlet, with teenager Lydon having questions in regards to slick talker William who’s wooing his widowed mom Eilers. Normally weird William feels in this low-spending limit quickie. Cast includes James Lydon, Sally Eilers, Warren William, and Regis Toomey. (80 minutes,’45)

Need a Halloween Outfit?

by Rebecca Hodges

Halloween is coming up. Have you gotten your costume yet? If you haven’t, you’re not alone. In fact, most people wait until there are a few days left before the actual holiday, fighting through the long lines to find a costume at the last minute.

Stores end up selling out of their inventory, and they’re essentially left with the costumes that no one wanted anyway. It’s important to try to prevent this from happening, but sometimes we simply can’t help it. There are so many distractions between work and our social lives that we put the task of getting a Halloween costume on the back burner.

Here are a few solid Halloween costume ideas if you still don’t know what to be this year. Hopefully one of these will inspire you.

First of all, I think that this is as good a year as any to dress up as Michael Jackson. You won’t be alone in donning this costume, as I’m sure many will follow suit.

Choose a stage in Jackson’s life that you’d like to emulate, and craft a costume around this. Having said that, there are so many different ways that you can dress up as the King of Pop.

2. Barack Obama. Why not dress up as our commander in chief? What better way to get some laughs out of your friends? For the ladies, the Michelle Obama costume is a great idea.

If you don’t like either of the ones mentioned above and prefer to go with something a little less conventional, why not dress up as Susan Boyle? You can even have some fun along the way, singing the verses that made her famous.

Happy Halloween everyone. I hope yours is safe and fun. Most importantly, I hope I’ve inspired you to make a decision on a costume. I know that the process of deciding what to wear can be a difficult one.

How To Save Loads of Money In Halloween Shopping

by Richard Boyd

It’s just about time to enjoy Halloween, and it’s time once more to candy, costumes for the family, stuff for bash at the schools and locate haunted places. The festival is quite a tough one for the majority although there are ways to make this a nice experience Following are some smart tips to help you avoid spending funds and take pleasure in your holiday that much more in the coming year: Exercise A little Resourcefulness And Opt For Selfmade Dresses

Costumes from the store could be extremely high-priced, specially if you’re buying for grown ups. Instead of spending loads of money for a new Peyton Manning outfit, why not find your used school football pullover and purchase some used pads from a thrift shop. It’s at all times good to apply your inventiveness and save some hard cash in this manner. Not only is it extra fun to make your own costumes, it may help you stand out while you attend parties. Keep The Clothes Of Your Kids Out Of Their Sight.

Scores of youngsters become stubborn regarding wearing their dress much before Halloween and this leaves the folks with little choice except to permit the youngsters have their way. Not only is it likely that they would change their thoughts and need something else ultimately, they could decide they would like to play in the dress. It helps to store away the attire and withhold it from the kids to steer out of this dilemma. Buy Goodies In Lots

It’s at all times a more high-priced choice to shop for goodies in little quantities. As an alternative, go off to Costco or Sam’s Club and stash up on as much candy as you could. If the huge pack available there has more sweets than you’ll could do with, you could always have a buddy or relative dutch in. Virtually every person needs some candy to give out on Halloween – it’s likely they’ll be all for the sharing. If you end up with more sweets, care about saving it as well – you might find, that on Thanksgiving or Christmas you’ll could do with something spare around to offer.

Find Reasonably Priced Adornment Stuff Halloween decoration may seem like a unneeded expense. Instead of shopping for the beautification stuff a few days in advance, consider doing that in advance. Even if you can’t do it this time, move to the market on November 1st next time to pack up on decoration before time. Many of the outlets are eager to put on show the Christmas material as soon as Halloween is ended. You’ll find deals of around 75% off or more at times since they clear away the older stuff.

Yet an additional idea to keep away from spending money on decorations is to get it directly from the retailers who vend stuff online at very little prices. This not only helps one spend less but also gives a bigger variety to choose from.

Your celebration at Halloween may well be cost-effective. With even more demanding festivals like Thanksgiving and Christmas soon approaching, its good to put aside money for them. Therefore, think smart and shop beforehand to make your Halloween even more enjoyable and markedly more cost-effective.

Stones Vs. Beatles

by Patrick Daniels

Depending on who you speak to you will hear different answers for who they feel is the greatest band of all time. Many give this honor to the Beatles, where other believe that the honor goes to The Rolling Stones. Although there are some that will argue for Pink Floyd, Led zeppelin or The Who, most of the people tend to be split between the Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

It is like a great debate when you get into a room with Beatles and Stones fans. Who is the greatest band of all time? For me it is the Beatles. Although the Rolling Stones are an influential and popular band, whose music I do enjoy, The popularity, influence and originality of the Beatles can never be topped.

For argument sake, let’s just agree that The Stones is the second best rock band of all time. For arguments sake at least, we will say that. Regardless of where they are on your personal list, virtually everybody can agree that the band has a ton of great songs in their catalog. Admittedly, most of their greatest music was written before’70, but they strung out a few gems through the seventies and eighties and even into the nineties.

In the’60s The Beatles and The Rolling Stones were every where, from the radio to the Ed Sullivan show, from a 45 in the living room to the some of the largest concert venues in the world. The Beatles performed more of a pop rock style of music in their early albums, and then progressed to a more complex, and eclectic sound after they spent time in India, and also grew in their own personal lives. The Rolling Stones were influenced by early American rock, primarily by African-American artists, as well as blues and jazz. The styles of music created by these two iconic bands differed greatly, but both continue to be extremely successful.

The Beatles broke up in the early’70s, just before the release of Abbey Road. The Rolling Stones are still together today, creating albums and touring world wide. An argument could be made that The Beatles made the right choice to get out while they were on top. An argument could also be made that since the Rolling Stones have remained together for so long that they are the better band. So which side of the debate do you fall on? As for me, I believe “you can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you just might find, you get what you need”.

The Laws Of Attraction And Your New Life

by Heather Berry

Why is it that some people can achieve astounding personal and professional success at a young age? Why is it that other people seem to spend their lives languishing on the sidelines, watching their existence distilled into a series of unmet deadlines and unfulfilled dreams? It is because the first person learned the importance of the laws of attraction while the second person scoffed at the ideas that the laws of attraction espouse. If you want to have a happy and successful life, keep your mind open to the laws of attraction.

Many people feel the success is an ephemeral quality that cannot be grasped, but only bestowed. These people, regardless of their other qualifications, will probably never be successful. This is because success is not only something that you can grasp, but something that you must grasp if you ever truly want it. The best way to grab success and make it your own is through using the laws of attraction.

Your self-perception is created through all the experiences you have gathered in your lifetime. Unfortunately, for most of us, these experiences have taught us that we are not qualified enough or smart enough or lucky enough to achieve our goals. In some cases, a single bad experience as far back as our school days can color our self-perception for the rest of our lives.

Once you have discovered your basic self-perception, it is time to recreate it. You need to take time to sit down with yourself, either in a peaceful outdoor setting, or a space you feel very comfortable in and focus on all the parts of yourself that you like.

Take a walk or spend an hour in the bathtub with your phone on silent. Think about what you like about yourself and what you wish you could change.

When you have crafted your self-perception in an entirely positive light, it is now time to put the law of attraction to work for you. Approach every new situation with a positive attitude. By now you should know that you are a talented and likeable human being. Project that positive energy outward. If you are confident about your abilities then the people around you will also come to trust you.

Once all of your negative qualities are rephrased so that they can be in the positive quality column it is time to move onto the next step of the laws of attraction. Take your newfound positive self-image and project it outward. Act as though you are successful and confident. Surprisingly, if you truly believe all those positive traits you found out about yourself, the people around you will also view you in a positive light.

You need to be attractive to friends, co-workers, bosses, and even strangers. Attract them with the strength of your personality and self-confidence. These people are then more likely to give you promotions and other opportunities for bettering yourself. The best thing about the laws of attraction are their infectious quality. The more you use them, the more good things will happen to you, and the better you’ll feel about yourself, which will in turn leads you to want to use it even more. As soon as you can create a truly positive self-image, you will be able to use the laws of attraction to climb the ladder of success.

Legal Matters Regarding The Use Of Paper Lanterns In The United States

by Cody Scholberg

We know that paper lanterns come in different sizes, being presented in a vast array of colours and patterns. Often seen in Asian countries (China or Japan, for example), these wonderful objects have captured the attention of people from other parts of the world as well. Paper lanterns impress with their bright tones and unique shapes, making any atmosphere feel a lot more special with them around. One thing which must be determined is the legality of paper lanterns in the USA. The good news is that there are no laws to prevent the use of such objects.

From the start, you should know that paper lanterns are not risky to use, even when it comes to those that have candles burning inside. Caution must be exercised when using candle-lit paper lanterns but the majority of paper lanterns are nowadays equipped with LED lights or bulbs. Given this fact, you can let go of all your worries. Candle-lit paper lanterns are often used in festivals, be they floating sky lanterns or tea light lanterns (the kind that float on the water, not in the sky). In such situations, extreme attention should be given to the paper lanterns, especially in the presence of strong winds. Despite all these facts, paper lanterns remain a green alternative, protecting the environment.

When paper lanterns appear in the night sky in a group they create a really special moment, filling the air with their light. There are many situations in which paper lanterns can be used; a lot of people choose them when redecorating their living space, some consider them for celebratory purposes and others believe paper lanterns guarantee a charming atmosphere. In some cases, paper lanterns have even been used as promotional materials, capturing the interest of prospective customers.

There are not many lamps in the world that can create the same lighting and atmosphere as paper lanterns. It’s no wonder that so many cultures prefer to use them rather than traditional lighting methods. Paper lanterns are tasteful decorations which come in impressive forms, making everything look even more refined. A lovely setting becomes even lovelier with paper lanterns ‘thrown’ around.

Despite what many people think, paper lanterns can also be used as genuine light sources, and not just for decoration. They have a light that is not too tiring for the eye, instead having a calming effect. People often choose them for bedrooms or other spaces designed for relaxation, preferring paper lanterns as opposed to other sources of light.

Everything will be just fine, especially with paper lanterns to offer the relaxation you need.
