Regardless if it has a hard drive or memory for the song storage they basically do they same thing. So, if you have a 1GB of memory on one unit the next unit may have a 1GB hard drive.

Basically the bigger the memory / hard drive the more songs you can store on it. I suggest you get at least 4GB unit that will hold thousands of songs for you.

But of course there are much bigger sizes as well that range from 16GB to 80GB or 120GB for storage of your videos, music, photo’s and more. If you are one who plans on having 10,000+ songs, thousands of videos, pictures and more then I am sure these units will serve you nicely.

I would hate to see anyone waste money by getting one that is more power then they will need. If your goal is to have less then 1000 songs and maybe watch some videos and have some pictures too then a 4GB size Video MP3 Player will be more suited for you.

But, if you are going to be a power user and have a ton of everything then go ahead and fork over the extra cash for the big boy since you will be utilizing the full potential of it I am sure.

I just am disappointed when I notice people who plan on having like 500 or less MP3′s on there unit and some videos and images go and buy a unit that is meant for a power user like I mentioned above. What they really need is a smaller unit like the 4GB units or around there in storage size.

Then again, if your likely to be a person who has thousands upon thousands of songs, videos, images, etc. Then you need to cough up the extra cash and get one of the big boys that can hold a lot of stuff since you will need it.

Entrepreneurs are being turned onto Regulation D in droves. Regulation D Rule 504, 505 and 506 allow companies a more lenient fund raising process than those who choose to go public by other means. In the past year I’ve seen more PPM consultants pop up on the internet than ever before and I have to admit I’m concerned. As a veteran in this field I’ve seen it all, now we have a legion of self proclaimed Reg. D gurus who buy templates, add some text and tell their clients that they are delivering a customized offering memorandum; here’s where things go bad and a difficult situation gets even worse. You have this worthless document, now what?

You need to gain the confidence and capital of accredited investors without soliciting as dictated in Regulation D Rule 502c. Now you have a worthless document that you can’t solicit investment capital for (which your guru consultant never told you but took your cash anyway) so how are you suppose to raise funds for your company? First, you’ll find that you’ll eventually need to make your way to an actual PPM author, not a broker so that you can get a PPM that protects you from lawsuits and gives the investor a real breakdown of the upside and downside of your business.

Next you’ll need to find a “Investor Finder”, yes this is an actual term for an individual or corporate entity that is completely submerged in the accredited investor realm and is able to match your opportunity with friends that he/she has in their database of real, accredited investors. This is the second half of the PPM equation.

Don’t kid yourself and don’t allow yourself to be lied to; you’re going to need a seasoned professional to help introduce you to investors that have the capital to help you get to where you need to be. Friends, family and employees will commit to investing in your company until your PPM is completed and it’s time to make good on their commitment; all of a sudden little Johnny needs braces and Sally is in the hospital with pneumonia, this happens all the time. Now what? With a real Private Placement Memorandum and a solid Investor Finder you’re problems are basically over. Investigate where the author and I.F. stand in the Internet public domain and after you find a company that meets your needs, get moving and start raising capital.

The internet tells all when it comes to reputations, you’ll be able to tell the difference between a seasoned veteran and a startup consultant after on Google Search and a phone call. A PPM can make raising capital quick and easy if you have the right firm in your corner.

Private Placement Memorandum authoring and the process of taking one’s company public are services that require extensive experience and the ability to look at a deal objectively and peripherally to evaluate all the angles to enhance the ability of the client to achieve funding in a timely manner.

Many times, when I’m hired to structure a company before funding, they will be under the impression that my evaluation is a mere formality and they are ready to go. Often I’m the bearer of bad news when I have to break it to the client that their company has more holes than Swiss cheese and 30 to 60 days away from starting the fund raising process.

They will often get a second and then third opinion and usually run into the same thing before they eventually find their way back to our firm. As they call around to consulting firms they perpetually experience the ‘hard sell’ by firms who ‘need’ the business because they lack the rewards and referrals that come with cultivating each client relationship because they take on and spit out deals so fast they hardly remember their client’s name during the transaction.

This mentality dominates the larger firms because of their gargantuan overhead while the boutique firms can take a more personal approach because they have a steady flow of business and referrals because they are not stressed about bringing in the next big deal so they can meet payroll and keep their lights on. The smaller companies that focus on turnaround consulting, private placement memorandum authoring, top tier business plan writing and taking companies public usually take a one on one approach to the consulting process and will rarely pressure clients to sign on because their phone is ringing off the hook with previous clients who want to hire them for the next stage in the evolution of their company’s growth.

This business is all about relationships. Ditch the consultant that applies the high pressure sales tactics and seek out the smaller, more personalized groups that don’t ‘need’ your business but will cultivate and value it.

When we think of the “heart shape” we more often than not think of romance and love. It has managed to work its way into our treasured holidays such as St. Valentine’s Day, into our greeting cards and gifts, and into our designs of jewelry as well. This jewelry is often made out of precious metals (such as gold and silver) and gems (such as diamonds and rubies), and when we incorporate the “heart shape” we are creating an object that portrays the eternal ideas of not only romance and love, but caring and belonging as well. We will now explore the origins of the “heart shape symbol”, heart jewelry, and learn about the world’s most famous heart-shaped diamond.

For years and years the heart symbol has been used to refer to not only the spiritual and emotional, but also the moral and intellectual core of a human being. It is usually colored “red” as this suggests not only blood (which the heart is responsible for pumping thorough the body), but strong emotions like passion and what emotion can possibly be stronger than that of true love?

Heart-shaped diamonds are very rare in nature, but they do exist. The “Blue Heart” (also called the “Eugenie Blue”) diamond is perhaps the most famous of these. In fact, many people consider it to be the best example of a blue diamond that has ever existed. Rivaled in fame by only perhaps the Hope Diamond, it is the unique heart shape that makes the “Blue Heart” really stand out from the crowd. From the standpoint of simplicity and pure elegance, it’s hard for any gem to compare with the “Blue Heart”.

Weighing in at 30.82 metric carats, it’s debatable whether the “Blue Heart” diamond is of African or Indian origin. Antanik Ekyanan cut the rough diamond in Neuilly, Paris in either 1909 or 1910. The dimensions of this beautiful gem are: 20mm x 19mm x 12mm.

The diamond wound up in the possession of an Argentinian woman named Mrs. Unzue, who had it set into a corsage. It was sold to Cartier in 1910. When it was sold to Van Cleef and Arpels in 1953 it was still in the corsage setting.

Next stop…an European family. They then sold this heart jewelry gem to a gentleman named Harry Winston in 1959. He put the diamond into a ring, and then sold it to Marjorie Merriweather Post, who eventually donated it to the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. This wonderful example of heart jewelry is currently on display at this institution today. Want a bit of trivia? At one point the “Blue Heart” Diamond, the Hope Diamond, and the Heart of Eternity were all on display at the Smithsonian.

For the last few years I have relied upon a Boss ME-50 Boss multi-effects system to supplement my main gig pedalboard. The reason is simple. My main board is absolutely huge, with almost 12 dedicated effects pedals. It’s great, but it’s also a back-breaker and sometimes causes more hassle than it’s worth. I’ve learned the hard way that carrying around a gigantic pedalboard isn’t always the best solution, especially for short gigs or practices. As a result, the ME-50 has proven worth its weight in gold on more than one occasion. I never thought I would want to replace my Boss ME-50…then Boss introduced the ME-70.

To start, I think the new ME-70 looks a lot cooler than the ME-50. While you shouldn’t judge a pedalboard by its color, it’s hard not to notice that the all-black ME-70 looks a lot sharper than the all-blue ME-50. It just plain looks bad-ass, but there’s more to this pedalboard than its new color.

Though looks are cool, it’s the sounds that really matter. Fortunately, the ME-70 is pretty hip in that department as well. What you get with the new ME-70 are the sounds from over 40 different Boss effects pedals. These are the identical sounds that you’ve heard and loved for years. The best modulation, delay, distortion, and overdrive sounds from Boss are under the hood, and they sound great!

But the ME-70 isn’t just a collection of Boss pedals in a box. It’s got a few new tricks up its sleeve. I’ve never been crazy about multi-effects boards because they also seemed to include a preamp section that I never used since I like the sound of my own amp. Well, at a gig one night my amp crapped out on me, and I had to plug my pedalboard directly into the P.A. system. What a nightmare! It sounded terrible. If only I had a ME-70 at the time! The ME-70 has a built in COSM preamp that you can use if you don’t have or can’t use your own amplifier. Plus it’s easily bypassed if you don’t need it. But if you’re ever in the same kind of situation I was in, you would really be thankful for a pedalboard like the ME-70. Depending on the gig, it might be the only thing you take besides your guitar.

Boss also saw fit to include an onboard looper with the ME-70, a welcome addition to be sure. Boss makes some killer looping pedals, and the same great quality that you find in the Boss Loop Station is present here as well. The ME-70 looper offers 38 seconds of loop time, which will likely be all you’ll ever need.

In addition to the looper, the designers at Boss saw fit to included a dedicated compressor section, a noticeable omission in the ME-50. While the ME-5o did have a compressor, it had limited controls. Since a compressor is a necessity in any professional quality effects system, it’s a welcome addition to the ME-70

Fortunately, all the wonderful features of the ME-50 are still present in the ME-70. You still have the noise suppression and adjustable reverb in addition to the rocker pedal that controls volume, wah, and pitch-shifting effects.

If you’re looking for a professional quality effects pedal system that offers dozens of effects at a price that won’t break your wallet, you should consider the Boss ME-70, worthy of the Boss name.
