With it more than 65 million players online, FarmVille has been voted to be the most popular game there is currently on Facebook. Players have to log in first on their Facebook account in order to take care of their farm. Due to its popularity, a lot of people are now signing up for their free accounts just to start planting their crops.

I know how fun it is playing FarmVille with your Facebook account but believe me, some people doesn’t want to have their own accounts. So they try looking for alternative ways to play the game and not having a Facebook account, unfortunately there’s none. You could even try the FarmVille site itself but it will still ask you to log on to your Facebook account to be able to play.

I also tried visiting the Zynga site itself. There you would find all of their games that are available for different networks; and sad to say that FarmVille really is exclusively available only at Facebook.

If you have an account with Facebook then this wont be a problem, only to those who doesn’t. some players actually has dummy accounts just to be able to play FarmVille and while not exposing anything about themselves, and since there are so many people wishing to be part of your neighborhood as well, they wouldn’t even care if they do not know you at all.

However, don’t put your hopes down yet. I was browsing one time and read an article about Zynga making their game FarmVille on a Full Version. I started to imagine myself playing FarmVille without going online and just download it to my laptop, but of course I’m not sure how are they going to do it.

?Zynga, the makers of FarmVille, is ready to break the 65 million plus player game out of the confines of Facebook by making a full version of the game available on FarmVille.com. First word of Zynga’s intent to build the site broke on TechCrunch. The game will still use Facebook Connect as a way to log into the game (which means that your farm will be saved) but by breaking outside of the social networking site’s confines, Zynga may allow other logins as well.

Given Facebook’s recent rules around viral marketing that many on the services consider spam, Zynga may have decided to go it alone due to some of those restrictions. But with the company’s admission that it has had deals to offer “scammy ads” to players, early comments about the move were mixed. ?? games.com

So this is something really great to look forward to, I just hope they would release it soon, not by the time that people are to lazy to harvest their crops already. So for now, it’s only through Facebook that we can peek on our farm.
