Dungeons and Dragons has got to be one of the biggest guilty pleasures of all time. So much so even Tom Hanks mad a really bad movie about it in the early 80′s. Yes, it’s true but we’re not doing an E! Hollywood story in this article, this is more about the mystical imaginary world of D&D.

Like anything else, knowing some history on the subject is helpful. DnD was first published in 1974 as a RPG or Role Playing Game- not Rocket Powered Grenade. (Had it been a rocket powered grenade, chances are your parents would have thrown even more of a fit over you playing with it.) The game’s reputation began to grow and by the mid to late 80s it was an icon.

DnD could best be described as a board game. It has a board, or map, and game pieces that players must move. It has a final objective (usually involving killing something and taking something else) and like most other board games, it has a set of dice. There is where the similarity ends though; at the dice.

The game is heavily dependent on the roll of the dice. Unlike other games your game piece- pardon me, character can only move so many spaces a turn, or round. The dice determine combat scores (roll for a hit) and success of spells and other factors, such as whether or not your character will be turned into a goat and for how long. By goat, we mean literally, a goat, it’s happened. The kicker is that the dice are not your standard 6 sided variety. They come in an amazing assortment of sides and colors.

The character race is another distinction of Dungeons and Dragons. The main races in the DnD world are Dwarves, Humans, Elves and Half-elves. There are other races to be played, but these are the main archetypes of the game and each has their own special list of abilities and character classes that can be played.

Class is the next major factor and entire websites have been dedicated to each class of character, but here’s a basic breakdown of the different classes. Warriors will have no magic but strong close combat (melee) aptitude and roughed endurance. Mages or Wizards are weaker physically and cannot take as much damage as the warrior, but they do have a few tricks up their sleeves. Priests tend to be the healers of the group and are desired as playing partners, though a lot of players prefer not to play this type of character. Typically a priest is on par physically with a magic user. Thieves would be the final basic class. What a thief does is fairly straightforward; they pick locks, take things and have an ability to detect traps. Combinations of these classes exist and keep the game lively. A Paladin for instance is a priest/warrior combo. Race restrictions apply though. Some races just can’t be certain types of classes.

The level and alignment of the character is usually the next things DnD players will ask about. Everything that happens in Dungeons and Dragons in the way of combat and “questing” has the potential to award the player’s character experience points of “XP”. These points will accumulate until they reach a certain total, at which time the character “levels”. Leveling means the character will gain additional skills and is another important element. Alignments in their basic form are Good, Evil and Neutral. This is the character’s disposition. Good and Evil characters can go on a quest together since players, in theory, work together against a common foe. The main advantage of the character’s alignment are more for the sake of playing a role than the sake of game play, since typically all level Xs of a class are on par with each other.

Part of the lure of Dungeons and Dragons has been its ability to adapt and how the game will allow players to adapt it to their specific tastes. This brief article is but a sliver of the options and game play of the D&D realm. What’s amazing is that the game is still alive in certain gaming circles and still played today, proving to not be a fad. So if you missed it at its pinnacle, you can still drop by the local comic book shop, check the bulletin board and buy what you need!

Webbie and Lil Boosie have been friends for a very long time. In fact, that both have recording contracts with Trill Entertainment, a section of UGK which is headed by Bun B. The two rap stars were born and raised on the hard streets of Baton Rouge in Louisiana and thanks to this upbringing they have been able to create hit albums. Both artists, Boosie whose real name is Torrence Hatch and Webbie, whose real name is Webster Gradney Jr are products of their respective upbringings. Both men came from broken families where parents were either non-existent or just were not there.

As a young boy of just eight years old, Webbie’s mother lost her battle with cancer, and Boosie’s father was gone as well. Both these artists have done a great deal for southern music, and have together managed to gain a pretty big following. These are the two musicians that keep Trill Entertainment on the up and up. The reason is that both of them were very smart about how they went about their business.

In the beginning, Webbie originally signed with Trill Ent. He was signed by the now deceased Pimp-C who had the chance to listen to Gradney Jr. write rhymes about his mother who had died from cancer. There are some other things you should know about Webbie. As a young boy, he started writing his own rap songs and lyrics. He was also a huge fan of hardcore rap and could identify with those artists struggles. He particularly enjoyed the rapping styles of Bun B, Pimp C, and Scarface.

Prior to hooking up with Lil’ Boosie, Webbie was the quarterback of the football team at his school. Even though Lil’ Boosie has two years on his friend Webbie, they ended up being tight knit. So what kind of music have these two Baton Rouge locals put together? Well, they’ve actually released two records – 2003′s “Ghetto Stories”, and 2004′s “Gangsta Musik”. They’ve also come out with albums independently that still feature each other.

On Lil’ Boosie’s 2009 album Superbad, he featured Webbie on his songs “Levis,” and “Better Believe It.” And Lil’ Boosie was featured on Webbie’s songs “Independent,” and “Thuggin.” They also appear all many other tracks together in a seemingly never-ending parade of features: “I’m on Purple,” “Full of That,” “Vibin,” “Back Up,” and so on.

They continue to work together today. It’s obvious that they appreciate their creative synchronicity, the mutual support and the friendship that they have. Actually, both rappers can usually be found together performing shows, or simply hanging out at a club. They’ve also made appearances in music videos together.

Whether you like Lil Boosie or Webbie, you should also know about the other players of the Trill Entertainment family who along with Lil Boosie and Webbie include Mouse and Foxx. If you have not heard of Foxx, you should listen to his song “Coogi Down”- it’s off the hook! They work and play as a team and their music shows how much they enjoy creating new sounds for their fans to enjoy. Speed reading is about learning new techniques to read more rapidly. Once we learn to read as children we have a tendency to begin by reading each letter individually. Once we have mastered the letters we have a tendency to then learn to put them together, always reading from left to right.

When you learn to speed read you’ll be taught a way that relies on viewing a line as an entire and not reading from left to right. Most courses can teach you all the techniques which you need to successfully learn to speed read, but you’ll should practice to perfect these.

There are 3 main ways to learn to speed read.

1. On a course or at a seminar. Because speed reading could be a comparatively easy ability it is often taught through a couple of intensive days. These are typically held in hotels or conference centres and run on 2 consecutive dates. This can be the quickest approach to find out the techniques for speed reading. Be warned that at the end of this course you will have learnt the techniques to speed reading, but you’ll not be able to speed read till you have practiced these.

2. An on-line course. This is like seminars, however the lectures are downloadable and you can watch them in your own time. You will also most likely realize that the lectures are separated into smaller sections with exercises at the conclusion of every section. It is vital to complete the exercises before progressing to the next section. Clearly the exercises can’t be marked, but there can be pointers so you’ll certify you’re on the proper path.

3. Books. This is the most affordable way to be told to speed read. Your local library can in all probability have a choice of books available. As with the web course you’ll do this at your own speed and when it suits you best. However, the online course will contain motivational material. When you’re sitting at home with a book you will want to be able to motivate yourself. This can be the toughest means to find out to speed read, but the results are just as good.

Remember that once you speed read there should be no loss of understanding of the text you’re reading. If you’re not understanding or absorbing what you are reading then you’re not doing it properly, and it’s a waste of time.

The key to successful speed reading is practice. No matter you are doing, you’ll need to read printed material and therefore the quicker you can do this the more efficient you will be.

Don’t you wish that you might build your own superhero? I know that I have! Whether you sit in a cubical or work construction for hours at a time, regular life can get really mundane. The strain of bills piling up, the upward thrust of gas costs or just making new chums can all be challenging. The fictional world of superheroes will permit the creator to have an outlet to run away from the every day grind. So why not make your own superhero and look into your creative side? Trying to find out more information on batteries can be a real headache. There are so many different kinds of batteries, and so many variations within those those families. Here we are going to focus on the family of lithium batteries. It does not help that many people use the terms loosely or incorrectly. This article aims to clear up some of that confusion. We will discuss how batteries work, and the differences among the three primary types.

All batteries work in the same basic way. They have two terminals, one positive and one negative. The negative terminal is called the anode. The positive terminal is called the cathode. When the two terminals are connected through the device it starts a chemical reaction. The negative ions from the anode go to the positive terminal. This chemical reaction is converted into electrical energy.

Lithium batteries are popular because they have so many advantages over other types. Lithium is a lightweight metal. It also has a high energy density, which means it can store more energy per volume of mass than other materials traditionally used in batteries. This combination of high energy and low weight is what makes lithium batteries the main choice for portable devices. Also, they can generate high voltage when needed and handle extreme temperatures well.

You will find three major types of lithium batteries on the market. They are all lithium based, of course, but there are some important differences. The technical aspects of those differences are pretty complicated, so we will just outline the basic features of each.

First, there are simple lithium batteries. They are commonly used in small devices like calculators, watches, and toys. They are used in pacemakers, too. Basically they’re to be found in any device that needs to be light, small, and have lasting power. They last a great deal longer than your traditional alkaline batteries. Next you have the lithium ion batteries. They are often called Li-ion for short. The primary difference, and advantage, of this type of battery is that it is rechargeable. Another type of battery would have a much higher self-discharge rate (the loss of charge when not being used)than the Li-ion does, and would also be much heavier and larger. You can see why lithium batteries are so important to our modern technology!

The next type is the lithium ion polymer (Li-poly) battery. It’s really just an advancement on the Li-ion design. Rather than have the electrolyte in an an organic solvent is in a polymer-based man made solvent. Really that just means it is less volatile and discharges at a lower rate. Generally it also costs less. One disadvantage that they do take longer to charge to full capacity.

Battery technology and design continues to improve at great speed. Lithium batteries will continue to get smaller and more efficient. So, without a doubt, this type of battery will be a part of your life. Now you will understand more about them and how they work!

Make no mistake about it Zynga games created the perfect Facebook game when they released FarmVille. If you haven’t played it yet, let me warn you, it can be quite fun and a little addictive. People everywhere are playing the game and interestingly enough are able to work cooperatively with other Facebook friends that also play the game. As you learn how to plant, plow, and harvest your crops you’ll slowly advance through the first levels of the game.

Eventually, you realize that you want to get some of the cool items that are only available to those who achieve higher levels. Holiday decorations, new buildings, vehicles, and seeds are just a few things that you will begin to unlock as you move up. The trick is to move up fast.

So how is this accomplished? The easiest way to learn how to rapidly move up to the high levels is to check out some FarmVille game guides. If you’ve ever noticed how slowly your little farmer moves across the field (esp. if you have a 20×20 farm) then you’ll understand what I’m talking about. I noticed one day that when I’d milk my cows that were fenced in my farmer didn’t walk over to them, the computer just performed the action. The opposite is also true, if you trap your farmer inside an animal fence then the computer will automatically and IMMEDIATELY perform whatever plant, plow, or harvesting action you make. This essentially, doubles the speed you can plant, plow, and harvest your crops.

Know the harvest times of your crops and take a realistic assessment of how much time you have to spend in the game. If you’re away for days on end then get more animals and trees as they won’t rot like regular crops. Remember to trap your farmer inside a fence to speed up the entire planting, plowing, and harvesting process.
