The Lost World – Jurassic Park – John Hammond has learned to bring dinosaurs back to life from their DNA. After an effort at marketing the watching of these dinosaurs goes horribly wrong, all the animals are killed and the island closed. The problem is that something has survived.
All About My Mother – While a woman loses her youngster, she returns to Barcelona, rekindles a suppressed relationship with a transvestite pal, who inadvertently the youngster’s father. Pedro Almodovar directed this motion picture and it is his most moving motion picture to date-more sober than most, although not without his trademark wit and differentiated by terrific behaviors all around. Sgt. Bilko – An army comedy with Steve Martin, Dan Akroyd and Phil Hartman. Sgt Bilko does essentially everything but army duties with his platoon of soldiers. Life in Sgt. Bilko’s army is quite nice. That is until Major Thorn shows up and attempts to mess up the fun.
They Were Expendable – One of the best and most underrated of all WW2 films, based on the real story of America’s PT boat battalion in the Philippines throughout the early nights of the battle. Stirring, exquisitely detailed production photographed by Joseph August under Ford’s unique hand, with real-life Naval Officer Montgomery. Cast includes Robert Montgomery, John Wayne, Donna Reed, Jack Holt, Ward Bond, Leon Ames, Jack Pennick, and Tom Tyler. (135 minutes, 1945)
