A very good low level spot can be found South of Combe and East of the Combe Gate in Bree-Land. The place is called The Crumbled Court. Here you will find bears, and lots of them, with levels between 8-10. As you enter the ruins, you will see down the hill to the left some dens. Start killing the bears as you head to the dens, make sure you go after all of them. From the dens, take the little valley with the berries in it and go round again to the entrance of the ruins killing every bear you see. At level 10 you can, or you should complete such a run with 10 to 13 minutes. A run will get you at least 30 Light Hides. Light Hides sell like warm bread no matter what server you are on, and they usually go for 200 silver per stack.

If you use that spot at a higher level,you can easily make 200 light hides in less than one hour. Not too bad considering you wont have to pay that much for repairs plus you can sell a lot of trash loot. If it weren’t for the LOTRO gold guide to open my eyes to every gold opportunity in LOTRO, I would be still begging for some gold. Sara Button has recently written a story, Black Bear, Loon & Walleye: A Fable from the Northwoods. As Directors of Swift Nature Camp an Environmental Summer Camp in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, this story holds a special place in our hearts. It is such a good story we put a copy in our camp library for all our staff to share with their children.

Black Bear, Loon & Walleye tells the story of three friends–one furry, one feathered, one sporting fish scales–and each wishes for the gifts of another. Black Bear longs for shiny scales to look flashy and impress his friends; Loon wants to sport and enviable fur coat; and Walleye wants to fly. But when their wishes mysteriously come true, each realizes a disadvantage: Bear’s scales can’t keep him warm, Loon can’t fly with fur weighing her down, and Walleye has bad eyesight and is no good at flying even with feathers.

In this rich, modern-day fable, Black Bear, Loon and Walleye take a wild adventure that teaches them lessons that are as universal as they are timeless. The friends learned a valuable lesson that day, to appreciate each other’s gifts, but most of all to value their own. Trying new things is important, because you might find something that you really enjoy. But if it doesn’t work out, you still get to know yourself better. In general, there are two reasons people grind in World of Warcraft.

3. In most cases, you should pick skinning as a profession. If you are after gold, this cannot be overemphasized. Everything you skin will sell very well at auction houses, and will be a major source of extra gold.
