There are few days in your life as memorable as your wedding day. All efforts should be made to prevent anything spoiling the perfection of this wonderful day. Another handy benefit of choosing a live band is that you may be able to ask one of the band members to act as MC for the evening.

When should you start looking?

You should start looking for a band a minimum of 6 months before the actual date of your wedding. This will give you enough time to make enquiries, sample music produced by different bands, and make sure that everyone is clear on all the details for the event.

How do you find the right band?

Take a moment to think about what kind of music you are after. Is there a particular style you want played at your reception? Seven card poker stud is a well known poker variation and are preferred by most of the people. There are basically two popular categories in seven card stud poker known as hi-low card stud and hi card stud. The Hi-low card stud is quite different from the rest of the poker variation and the pot that is formed out of the staked poker chips are shared among the highest hand and the lowest hand, while in hi card stud which is more popular among people is played as any other poker variation with just one winner who hold the highest hand.

In the seven card stud poker the players are dealt with two facedown cards, id and four faces up cards called cank. Round of betting with poker chips sets is conducted in each round when the faces up cards are dealt. The player form hands out of the dealt cards and the highest hand wins the pot.

A final face down card is dealt once all the face up cards are dealt and the final round of betting with clay poker chips is decided among the players and the players who are still in the game are ready for a showdown which decides the winner by comparing their hands and the highest hand wins the pot.

The hands value is determined according to the preset chart as in other poker games and the royal flush is as usual the highest hand that a player can form. The sequence after the royal flush is as follows Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Full House, Three of a Kind, Two Pair, One Pair, and High Card. If you have a royal flush then you can stake your poker chip sets huge.

In seven card stud a total of seven cards are dealt. The seven cards include two face down card after which four faces up cards are dealt and finally one single face down card is dealt in the finishing round of betting hence a total of seven cards are dealt. The betting begins in the third round where you start betting your chip sets from your chip cases in each phase.

There are a total of six stages in ‘seven card stud poker’ which are as follows, Third Street, Fourth Street, Fifth Street, Sixth Street, the river, and the showdown. The players need to stake a minimum amount of clay poker chips to stay in the game called the ante. The actual betting begins in the third street stage.

The players of the game tries to make the best hand they can and if they feel they have chances of winning, would stake more of their poker chip sets in all the rounds of betting and focus to win the pot and those players who carry their stakes until the show down would win through the game if they have the highest hand on comparing with each other. The players reveal their set of five cards which is at the end of the game and the betting rounds compared to determine the winner of the pot.

Seven card stud and texas holdem are some what the same with slight variations. As all other poker games this variation is played with poker chips and also have various betting rounds and the main difference is that the betting sequence and number of cards dealt vary.

Despite what Coke ads would have you believe, high school was not fun. For the majority of students who find themselves trapped within its walls, it’s a miserable experience. It’s just no fun trying to navigate the buys halls, the busy kids, and the social pressure. As a teenager who preferred cupcakes to calisthenics, I didn’t do myself any favors. Furthermore, my insistence on wearing Return of the Jedi T-shirts didn’t do me any favors either.

It is because we, by and large, did not have entirely pleasant or meaningful high school experiences, that we jump at the opportunity to idealize movies that re-conjure them. If we can cheer for that one kid who just wont take it anymore and decides to dance down the halls to his true love, we will! Strangely, I did try once to start a dance chain down the halls between classes my junior year — only to be pushed into an open locker and laughed at. Ok, I deserved that, but still.

We are so desperate to laugh and transform our own high school experiences that we will flock to any film — even if it’s made for television — in droves. This explains why high school movies, had they been made in any other genre, are so wildly successful despite lacking a solid plot or even decent acting. This is our primal need to be transformed — in high school — once and for all.

To be sure, there are various highly successful high school movies out there. But, one of the best examples of the genre is Disney’s aptly named High School Movie, which was subsequently released as a two-disc boxed set entitled High School Musical: Remix. The wild appeal of this film is not its plot — which was a typical rehashing of the greatest high school story of all time, Romeo and Juliet. No, the appeal is in the infectious mix of melodrama, Disney comedy, and musicality.

It is impossible to withstand the barrage of super-smiling fun that is thrown at you. From cast to set design to the actual dance pieces — you can’t help it. You just start smiling like a buffoon. Yes, you know it will all end well — it is Disney, after all, but you watch and are enthralled just the same. So deep is our desire to have done things differently, to have stood out and dared to sing out loud between third and fourth period.

It is said creativity is about giving old things new uses. When it comes to magic, same principles applies. Many creative magic tricks are actually derived from old tricks or effects. Let’s take a look at the appearing handkerchief in decanter trick. The original effect is a handkerchief quickly appearing inside a decanter achieved by the pulling of an invisible thread. This can become totally different in appearance if milk bottle is used instead of decanter, or any other kind of bottles. Or you may try to use a tie instead of handkerchief. The possibilities are unlimited.

New tricks have been “invented” with less evidence of originality than the substitution of the milk bottle for the decanter in this example. The same principle of using the thread to pull an object into view is demonstrated in Orrin’s Spider Web Trick.

The trick is called the Orrin’s Spider Web Trick. The trick effectively uses the same principle as the old decanter trick. This trick is to produce a card on a spider figure on a table also using the pulling thread principle. The table is painted with a spider web background which could help hiding the thread and the secret opening on the table. A card is used instead of a handkerchief and a spider figure is used instead of a decanter.

But instead of pulling the thread, he pulled the pocket away. This was made possible because of the distance the pocket moved in spinning around the shaft, as it wrapped the thread. For the decanter, of course, the figure of the spider was substituted. Moving the place of appearance rapidly took the place of moving the appearing object rapidly. There is another important change Orrin made in the old trick. Instead of an assistant or a weight pulling the thread, the performer pulled it himself. But he applied the force in an indirect manner. He applied the force in spinning the web, a perfectly plausible and, therefore, a perfectly deceptive action.

We are not saying that the magician Orrin created the effect by substituting the objects like that. We are just illustrating how this principle can be used to produce an innovative effect from an old trickery.

Consider the steps in outline form: 1. The objects are changed-a card for a handkerchief, a spider for a decanter. 2. The place of appearance was changed in character. The original location was inside a transparent object. 3. The source of power was changed. Originally it came from a concealed assistant. Here the performer himself applied the Power-indirectly. 4. Instead of moving the appearing object rapidly, Orrin moves the place of appearance rapidly. 5. Absence of a suitable background originally made it necessary to do the trick at a distance. Here, a background that made the thread invisible moved the trick much closer to the spectator.

It may seem that the decanter trick and the spider web trick are completely different magic effects. But after analysis, we see that they are much related. Readers can also produce new tricks by changing some elements in an old trick.
