The Beginnings And Changes Of Tvs Across The Nations
When people talk about TVs it elicits strong emotions. Some people love it and others think it is a mind controlling vessel. Whatever your thought on television it is here to stay and isn’t going anywhere. The TV is a household staple to many and its technology is growing stronger every year.
The television tube took over fifty years to invent and perfect through the help of many different inventors along the way. From the RCA Company who began the process of broadcasting to all the other affiliates who made the regulation and airing of the invention successful it was a long road until the airwaves were paved for the miraculous invention.
Cable television has had its own evolution beginning in 1948 around the Philadelphia area. Taking over ten years the broadcasting capabilities for the new invention of the television had to travel its way across the United States and by 1953 all major cities had access to airing television if they had a TV and a good antenna.
The golden age of TV began in the 1950′s and if you did not have a TV you ran to the neighbor’s house or across town to see the latest show. By 1960 or so more and more homes had a television the size of half of their living room. Viewers watched dramatic live TV or inspiring variety shows while catching the news and sports scores of their favorite teams.
As the 1980′s came the television grew and shrunk at the same time. A projector like big screen TV came into homes in the world and the portable hand held TV began to surface at technology conventions. As time went on the flat screen came into play and now the flat screen has become the norm for a typical home.
As the television progresses so does the portals it creates. It is now a place where business meeting can take place or be a vessel of dreams for a gamer who wants high definition. The TV can now even be your home telephone or security system if you need to. You can even watch television on your cell phone or your laptop if you want to.
Yes the controversial TV is here to stay. The inventors of the past are now the fathers to inventors of the future. Their hard work is to our benefit. Now the responsibility of their invention is in the future’s hands and here is hoping we prove to be worthy.
