Private Label Rights (PLR) products such as e-books and articles are powerful tools that can make your internet business more cost-effective. By using e-books and articles that are already researched and written, one may be able to speed up the publishing of one’s texts.
But one difficulty is that it is not always very easy to change or customize the PLR content in order to generate a nice result. Even though much work has been made in the initial article, it can still take substantial work to restructure the text into a form that is appropriate for one’s purposes.
Background
The trouble is that the same PLR products are sold to many people; and in order to really make the most of one’s PLR package, one must adjust it substantially, not just tweak it a little here and there. By doing so, one can ensure that the search engines will index the text favourably. It also guarantees that your readers are not presented with into material that they already have found in a different place.
The idea, then, is to revise the material in different ways. One way to do that would be to either rearrange or delete paragraphs. Other ways might be to enlarge paragraphs and add new points: for example, one might want to include a new argument, some new data, or some new questions and answers. Or one might add some fresh pictures or photographs that would be useful.
But Who Has the Time to Do It?
But you may ask yourself how to get the job done. For you may have purchased the PLR products just to avoid having to do a lot of work in the first place. So you might now be thinking that you are looking at the very same job that you tried to keep away from before.
It is true, of course, that the sort of work involved in editing a PLR article or e-book could be similar. However, the actual quantity of work is not very similar. Editing a PLR e-book or article, even with a rather extensive rewrite, is a great deal less prolonged and agonizing than writing the whole thing from the ground up.
And, what’s more, it is perhaps not even necessary that you get involved in that rewriting process yourself. Here are some ideas on how to get the job carried out.
1. Utilizing Software Products
Some powerful software programs have the ability to rewrite (or “spin”) articles and e-books so that they become unique. But it is wise to be watchful here, for some software systems generate crappy output, and others may produce good texts but not perhaps stylistically suitable for you.
It is therefore almost always crucial to look over the newly generated content manually after it has been processed by the software program. It is quite likely that you may have to take one more round of rewriting and rearranging after the content has been “spinned”.
2. Using a Freelancer
It may not be economically possible for a new marketer to hire a good freelance writer to produce first-class articles and e-books that are up to date, unique, and interesting to read.
However, since you already have picked up the Private Label Rights ebooks or articles, the goal is not to create unique material from scratch, but just to do some editing using different words and phrases, and maybe also extending a number of of the arguments here and there.
In order to be even more cost-effective, you could bundle a dozen or two articles at a time, or a couple of e-books. It is likely that you will get a better quote from your freelancer in that case, compared to if you just asked him to rewrite a single article or two.
3. Ask a Guest Blog Writer
Perhaps you should invite a guest writer to your blog, so that he could produce some nice texts for you? You could even say that you have some private label rights content that he or she could start from, so that the writing effort would be minimal for him or her. That way you could create new posts for your site without you personally having to do any of the writing or editing. At the same time, the posts would be exactly about the topic you had chosen.
The problem with this idea may be, of course, that the ghost writer may expect to get paid, or to be able to publish some links to their own websites and blogs, or ask for some other favour. In each case, you will have to see what the deal is, and then figure out whether or not you think the particular arrangement is profitable enough.
4. Write It All On Your Own
In case you are really into writing (or at least are willing to do it even though you don’t like it), you may want to consider doing all (or some of) the rewriting on your own. At any rate, editing a quality Private Label Rights article or ebook is considerably less problematic than writing everything from scratch.
Also, doing the work yourself leaves you in total control of the product, both in terms of style and content. And in view of the fact that you also presumably have lots of knowledge about the subject matter, you will write the text faster than most other freelancers around.
Conclusion
Private Label Rights articles and e-books are great assets. However, they must be significantly rewritten and rearranged to be successfully used in your business.
The good thing about all of this is that you do not necessarily need to do all of the rewriting yourself (but the end product may be better if you do). Alternative ways to produce a modification of the Private Label Rights content would be to make use of some “spin” software program, to contact freelance ghost writers, or to contact a guest blogger.
