Adding black to bring cool to a life has been a trick in fashion of all kinds for years and years. In fact, clothing designers have known for ages that black slims a person when it’s worn correctly, such as a person dressed completely in the color. Even our popular music has featured this color in song for decades. One of the most popular rock ‘n roll songs of all time, for example, features the color in its title. ‘Back in Black, ‘ by AC/DC, first hit the airwaves in 1980 but it’s just as popular today and says just as much about the meaning of black now as it did over 29 years ago.

What it comes down to is that those who understand color understand that black goes with anything. So when going shopping, one should consider using black as the fallback color whenever stuck trying to match up one item with another. Don’t color any world completely in black or it will look too far out there, but a nice selection of black in anything will certainly say something.

A PS3

So you just bought this brand new $400 PS3 and now you’re having problems. It never fails for a piece of hardware to go bad. You’re out of luck contacting Sony. If you’re out of warranty they want $150. Follow this how to repair ps3 if you come across some problems.

Step one

That red light means the it is overheating. First, try to turn it off. Leave it off for an hour if possible. Then turn it back on. This should work if caught early.

Step two

Be careful as not to damage anything but try and take out the hard drive. Leave it out for at least an hour. This will let it cool down. Alright now that it’s been an hour go ahead and place the hard drive back in its place.

Step three

The laser is very hard to get to and needs to be handled with care. There are some screws that need to be removed before getting to it. The laser will be visible it’s pertinent that you do not touch it. Use a Q-tip that has alcohol on it to clean it. Rub it down gently. This should fix that issue.

Step four

Here is a big one. The ps3 doesn’t turn on at all. Well at first glance it would be the power supply. Just replace it. But if you heard a loud pop and it shut off it could be a fuse. Take the fuse out of the power and bring it to a store. They will be able to find the one you’re looking for and just replace it in the supply.

Your PS3 should be working.

Take care of your console with your heart. You do not want to have to shell out more money to replace any parts. Remember always know what your doing before you do it. Repair ps3 may be easier and less time consuming rather then going through Sony.

There’s a new audio file format called MusicDNA which will give music companies and distributors a generous 32GB of information to hold, such as album cover art, song lyrics, and even the latest blog posts and concert news, combined with the sound file.

It’s possible that if enough companies come on board, there could be a challenge to the dominance of the MP3, giving users a more album-like experience but in digital form. It will give artists and content owners license to increase their prices per download.

This new format was launched by Bach Technology on Sunday at MIDEM a music-industry conference under way in Cannes, France. Unlike current alternatives to the MP3, such as Windows Media Audio (WMA) and Advanced Audio Coding (AAC), MusicDNA is not a new audio technology, and luckily doesn’t require new audio codecs, which is a big plus. Rather, as Stefan Kohlmeyer, Bach CEO, the powerhouse behind MusicDNA explained in an interview, MusicDNA is an add-on to existing audio formats.

So what is it that MusicDNA does? Well, it’s fascinating. It goes about analyzing the sound file itself for certain characteristics in 13 categories for example tempo and mood. This data is then encoded as XML and is stored with the file. Record labels can also include data, including lyrics and album art, to be included with the file.

And that’s not all, this data can even be updated each time the listener connects to the internet–for example, live concert programs could be updated as soon as they’re announced, complete with links to get tickets. Bach intends to make money by licensing the MusicDNA technology out to manufactures and producers of software and hardware. Apple would be the first obvious choice.

One important advantage that Bach has, is that because MusicDNA isn’t actually a new audio technology, it means that MusicDNA files should play on existing hardware and software. So MusicDNA could work with MP3 / MP4 player. The player will be able to read the audio file, and disregard the XML information. It’s just possible that MusicDNA could avoid the same story of other formats which have gone up against the MP3, like Sony’s ATRAC or even Windows Media Audio. Time will tell.

Long term players may well have become aware of changes in the way Warcraft’s economy is working over the past fifteen months or so. The progression of wealth alongside character progression and profession is now completely out of balance.

The system is being swayed by the huge numbers of level 80 characters on most servers.

My situation is not unique. I have 16 level 80 characters (I level characters up by multiboxing 5 at a time) That may seem a lot, but I know several guild buddies who have three of four level 80′s levelled the normal way – and often a level 80 Death Knight as well.

So what happens when you start a new toon?

Well, if you’re anything like me, you are trying a new class, race or combination of the two. At some point you give your character a profession, then, using the huge piles of gold from your main characters you level them up to say 225 in about 90 minutes. Buying stacks of low level items in the process.

Then – having done this, I will quite often get bored of the character and have to decide whether to carry on levelling.

More often than not, I don’t. I might even delete them. So I never buy the mid range crafting materials for them. But the problem remains for Blizzard. Whenever I start a new alt, I can (and will) just buy my profession skills. Why not?

I know I’m adding to the imbalance problem. Crafting is a gold sink. Until you get a crafting profession to 450, you are pretty much pouring gold down the drain. Sure the odd item sells, but most are destined to be vendored for a fraction of the production cost – or just thrown away. Apparently it costs over 5000g on most servers just for enchanters to level their rod. Just the rod! Never mind the 450 enchants they have to perform as well.

The Warcraft economy is going to change with Cataclysm. I predict the following.

Crafting professions will be overhauled. Items at low level will be tweaked to make them more attractive to buy. They will cost more to make, but the good ones will offer more than one skill point towards the crafters profession.

New huge gold sinks will be added. The biggest gold sinks ever. It is rumoured that there will be a skill needed to fly across the ashen wastes of Azeroth, and that might set you back between 5000g and 10000g. New speed perks for flight will also cost a fortune. More than your epic cost in the first place.

Archaeology will provide crafting materials that can be added at the manufacturing stage to alter the stat bonuses of many items made by the existing professions. These perks will improve the saleability of these items still further, and will provide some real variety and choice for both the crafter and the potential user.

Consumables will go up for level 81-85. Not just the graded step that they went up with Wrath of the Lich King, but a huge increase. Food, Drink, Ammo, repairs and in game flights (which you may well have to take before getting proficiency to fly over Azeroth) will cost exponentially more than the current equivalents in Northrend

The game will be altered in such a way as to make each characters “right of passage” from 81-85 unique. We multi boxers may well come across obstacles which mean we are forced to split our parties up for the duration of levelling.

Cataclysm is perhaps the last chance for Blizzard to fix the economy. Sure it works now, and many don’t see the real world warning signs of hyper inflation and manufacturing redundancy being relevant in a game. But they are. These two economic problems are rife in Warcraft, and they will eventually grind the economy to a halt. The laws of supply and demand need a helping hand in WoW. This is Blizzards last chance.

Thankfully it seems they understand this, and are looking to fix the economy. If it fails – and it might. Be prepared for the end of the economy altogether by the time we hit patch 5.0.

Many people will start drawing cartoons as an easy and fun way to learn some of the basic skills of drawing.
