I’m just crazy about The Beatles. And justifiably so, in my opinion.

I self-educated myself how to play the acoustical (and subsequently the electric) guitar by performing easy guitar songs that The Beatles have written. It was amazing to me how easy the chord structures were for such a large percentage of their songs considering how sweet and attention-getting their songs were. So how do I define easy guitar songs? I would say the song can sound sweet enough without the chords being all overly intricate and it suggests no more than four to five chords in total.

Lately I have been getting this question from students a lot especially on their first acoustic guitar lesson. “How long should I practice?”

In my opinion the answer is very personal and it all depends and what you want to achieve with your playing. Guitar can be a very easy instrument to learn but an extremely difficult one to “Master”.

So if you want to master the guitar then you would need ten thousands hours at least and you can stop reading this article now and go back to practicing.

If you are amongst the many people that want to learn for their personal enjoyment and to have a good time with their friends things are different. I believe that in just 48 hours you can learn the basics that will enable you to do exactly that. When I say 48 hours I mean a 48 hours of dedicated and focused practice, and no just goofing around jamming a few chords the wrong way. You should have a proper acoustic guitar lesson or instructions and have a good practice routine. I suggest a minimum of 30 minutes a day 6 days a week and in just 4 months you should be able to achieve your goal.

You’ll be able to play a load of easy guitar songs, learned loads of chords and strumming patters along with some basic theory and a bunch of other good stuff.

A little bit every day is way better that a lot every blue moon. That’s how humans learn just about anything really, by repeating the same exercises everyday till we get them right, and in the long run developing muscle memory. Eventually all the chords & rhythms will became second nature.

It sounds too easy? Well don’t get fooled it work! Just make sure you follow a good guitar tutorials.

When choosing your food, think summertime.Grill up an all american beach party with hamburgers and hotdogs for everyone. You can also do submarine sandwiches. Potato salad and fresh fruit help to round out the meal. Fill a glass bowl with blue jello with gummy fish. Make octopus hot dogs by cutting the hotdogs halfway up each side into four strips. Boil it in water. When you do, it will cause the hot dog strips to curl and look like octopus legs!

Water baseball- For this game you will need a water bucket. Fill it with water balloons or water and a large sponge for the ball. This game is the same as baseball but a lot more fun! Place a special chair or bench for the mother and any other pregnant women so they can cheer everyone on! Stroller obstacle course- Test the new dad’s ability to take care of a child while adding a fun twist. Place a baby doll in a stroller and set up obstacles for him to maneuver around. Time him on speed and his ability to keep the baby safe. Test other mommies and daddies to see if he is up to par with the seasoned parents.

You can place signs outside that say” Don’t feed the bear”. Place paw prints on the side walk leading up to the door and one next to the doorbell. Make a cave out of Brown paper or make a sign over the door that says” Cave Entrance”. Decorate a pot to look like a bee hive and fill full of bare necessities the baby will need. Place teddy bears around the room. Anything with berries or honey in it is fine for this theme. You can also have bear shaped cookies, brownies, peanut butter and honey sandwiches, and berry flavored punch with frozen berries in it.

Distraction game- For this game you will need a timer, clothes line, phone, baby doll, baby clothes and clothes pins. Take turns timing each guest on how quickly they can string up a certain amount of clothing on a clothes line. The trick comes when they have to have a phone on one ear. The bigger and clunkier the phone the better. In the other hand they have to hold a baby doll. This is great practice for the mother to be…since both of her hands will be full with twins. The Price is right-With twins on the way, the mom will need to get savvy with comparison pricing to afford to feed 2 kids. In this game, guests will be shown certain baby items and have to write down the price that it sells for. The person with the most items right will get a prize. The items will go to the mother to help stock up on her baby supplies. Daddy Daycare-Video the dad answering questions on childcare, feeding, bathing, discipline and so forth. During this game you will have the mom guess how she thinks the fathers answered the questions. If she gets it right, they get a baby item. If not, she has to chew a new stick of double mint gum for every question she misses. By the end of the game, she will either have a mouthful to discuss with daddy or gifts for the babies.

Then the first person would pass it to the next person and continue with the game. By the end of this game, people are usually giggly and ready for comfortable introductions.(If you are squimish about germs, buy more kazoos for the group or have wet wipes handy to wipe the kazoo down in-between uses.) You can add a little fun to the introductions by having them blow on the kazoo before telling who they are and how they know the pregnant mommy. Don’t break the water! This is an outdoor game that would work great for a coed party! Start with an aluminum bucket full of water balloons. Guests need to hold the water balloon between their legs and run from one point to another without breaking their water. Fill the room full of beach items. You can include sea shells, starfish, beach balls, flip flops, flippers, lounge chairs, snorkels, beach towels, rafts, suntan lotion, sunglasses, and edible sand in jars. Display food treats around the room in sand buckets. Drape light or dark blue plastic table cloths on the walls to resemble water. Have a bubble machine going to create a fun water feel. Decorate the food table by sprinkling sand down the middle of the table. Place shovels, buckets, sea shells and tea lights on the table.

Just about everyone spends at least some time watching TVs each day. They have become an icon of sorts in the modern world. They have literally become a part of who we are and therefore part of our culture. Whether they are used for education or entertainment, the point is that they are used.

If life truly does imitate art then what do the programs we watch on television say about the people in our world? In truth, these programs are an art form all of their own. They take creativity and skill to write and produce. Though they are often masked in humor or over dramatized, they actually show real life everyday situations.

What effect could all of this have on our children? They could very well spend a great portion of their formative years watching these programs. They define for our children what is right and wrong, acceptable or not. These programs teach children how to be adults.

Televisions are the only link some have to the outside world. Through these we can hear news from all over the world in a matter of minute’s right in our living rooms. Whether in our neighborhoods or in far way countries it all comes alive right in front of you.

Think about a time before televisions and radios. News might travel very slowly and never even reach some places. Many people may never have even know what was going on in the own cities and towns. Without a reliable form of communication people had to rely on print and word of mouth for news of other areas.

From the first black and white sets to brilliant color, televisions have come a long way in the past few decades. Today you may even watch television from your computer with an internet connection. No matter where you are these devices are well used. They have become common place in most homes around the world.

Not only have the televisions themselves changed but the programming has as well. As the world around us has changed so have the programs we see each night in our living rooms. Violence seems almost expected and programs continue to become bolder. We can only speculate what the programs of tomorrow may hold for us.

TVs have become common because they are a part of who we are. Whether you have big or small television sets in your home, chances are that you do have at least one of the devices. They will continue to grow and be a part of our lives as long as we continue to turn them on.
