Do You Know Pacman?
Pacman is a yellow circle guy who is quite possibly the first most well known video game character. He is easily recognizable and is really easy to draw. Pacman is a game that has been played by many gamers, both old and new.
The game is pretty simple. You are controlling our hero in a maze like level and collect fruits and yellow dots along the way to get a high score. While doing this you have to avoid the different ghosts that are looking for you.
The ghosts you come across come in different colors and they each have their own names and different personalities.
If you eat a certain item in the middle of the stage, you will scare the ghosts up to a point that you can eat them when coming in contact with them. This only lasts for a short time and the eaten ghost spawn back after a while.
When it comes to the game play it does not get any more simple then this. You only have to worry about moving Pacman across the level.
The graphics are just like the game play, easy and straight to the point. You will not see any cool special effects here. This also is the same for the music. The early pacman games had no music at all.
To bring more life to the brand, Namco introduced ms. Pacman. She looks just like pacman but with a red bow tie on her head. This is how you can extinguish her from Pacman.
She also got her own game after pacman got his. Her game is a little bit more interesting than the first one. It is also an upgrade from the earlier game, because the developers added a couple of new elements in the mix.
It is cool to look at how Pacman has evolved throughout the years. And the funny thing is that pacman has not changed at all. He is still yellow and round and still has the type of games and game play.
