The CSI: NY TV show is without a doubt a resounding success. Created as a spin-off of the original CSI: Las Vegas, in the year 2004, this series has gone on to grab a loyal audience base that ensures steady ratings each season. The storyline runs along much the same lines as the original CSI: Las Vegas and CSI: Miami, focusing on the forensics team in Manhattan and following them as they solve shocking crimes.

The two major roles in the series are of Mac Taylor and Stella Bonasera played by Gary Sinise and Melina Kanakaredes. Mac is an ex-nautical. His emotions and feelings are seen when he remembers his ex-wife who was killed in 9/11 attack. He loves spending his extra time in jazz club playing guitar. One of the biggest new sensations of TV these days is Jersey Shore, broadcast weekly on MTV. People all over the country can’t seem to get enough of this show.

If you’re in the minority of people who still don’t know what this series is all about, here’s a quick rundown. A group of people in their 20s from New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island are picked out at random by MTV to share a beach house over the summer.

The wild town of Seaside Heights in New Jersey is home to plenty of action. The characters on this show make it all the more interesting.

This has become one of those shows where you’re simply amazed by the antics you witness on a week to week basis. There’s romance drama, fighting, and a ton of comedy that will be sure to have you laughing.

I don’t want to ruin things for you if you’re planning on seeing the episodes, so you’d be best off not reading the rest of this article if that’s the case. If you’ve seen the episodes or simply don’t care about knowing what happens, the following list will recap some of the show’s highlights through this point.

First, there’s the relationship between Sammy and Ronnie. Things started on a very interesting note, as Sammy and Mike “The Situation” had a little fling before Sammy flocked to Ronnie on the same night. Needless to say, this sparked a lot of drama between the two.

Then, a recent episode with Vinnie, another member of the cast, brought some more surprise and suspense. While he was out at night, he ended up wandering off with an older woman. What he didn’t realize was that this woman was the date of the man whose house they’re living in. Needless to say, this didn’t sit well with Vinnie, who was sure that he’d be kicked out of the shore house.

Lastly, there’s a more serious incident that took place, and this involved a fight at a bar in which Nicole (also known as “Snookie”) was punched in the face. Thankfully, she was fine, as revealed in the next episode, but this was a shocking and scary moment during the course of the series.

The cast members of this show have literally become overnight celebrities due to this reality show’s success. What happens from here should be very interesting.

Let’s be clear: Bronco Billy is not, exactly, one of Clint Eastwood’s best, but, you can see why Eastwood considers it his personal favorite of the films he’s directed. We put it on our list of must see movie downloads not so much because it’s one of those films you must see before you die, but because it’s so rare to see such a positive, warm hearted movie.

If you grew up in the eighties, this is the kind of adventure flick you grew up with. The film is created with CGI, but it’s much closer in spirit to The Monster Squad or The Goonies than it is to any modern day kids movie. The story focuses on DJ and his friend Chowder, a chubby kid who’s never seen without his red Superman cape, as they try to thwart the haunted house across the street so it doesn’t go around eating kids on Halloween.

Monster House hits all the right notes. We get to see some Rear Window stuff as DJ watches the house through binoculars, we see the kids laying out a plan of attack on construction paper with crayons, they create a dummy out of a vacuum cleaner and a Halloween mask, and they even seek words of wisdom from an overweight, video game addicted pizza delivery guy who knows a little something about haunted houses due to his expertise at Dungeons and Dragons.

They don’t make much money, much to the chagrin of Billy’s employees like Lefty, who lost his right hand in a fireworks accident and complains that he needs a raise so he can buy a prosthetic to replace his hook.

Willem Dafoe is here in an early performance as the villain, Raven, the leader of the motorcycle gang, all dressed like The Wild One, of course. The movie is a perfect blend of all the aesthetics we associate with fifties and eighties popular music culture. Michael Pare plays the hero, Tom Cody, and Diane Lane plays the girl, Ellen Aim.

Interestingly, the film was named for the Bruce Springsteen song, which was to be featured as a song performed by Ellen Aim and her band, The Attackers, but Springsteen pulled out of the project when he found out that they wouldn’t be the one singing it. Another interesting production detail: It was planned as the first in a trilogy. The next two, The Return of Tom Cody, and The Far City, were never to be.

At this point, the movie’s become a cult classic and has more than made its money back on DVD, but in its initial theatrical run and early video sales, it didn’t perform all that well, so the studio had to turn down the sequels. A direct to DVD pseudo-sequel was released recently, but let’s be honest, it’s not really worth getting into.

On its merits as a movie, it’s probably fair to call it a solid three star effort, but the sentimental side of you wants to rate it five. In the end, what it really comes down to is the emotional value you get out of a movie, and for all its faults, Bronco Billy is a movie that will leave a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart.

We could all benefit from a reduction of the clutter in our homes. In order to do this, you must make sure that you have a rotating cycle, where things are gotten rid after they are no longer needed. Paper is often the biggest problem. Whether it is newspapers, junk mail, old bills, or anything else, we all have a hard time keeping up with the constant barrage of paper that comes our way. If you subscribe to even one magazine, you probably have back issues of magazines cluttering your house.

With other paper messes, we have an easier time getting rid of them. Paper shredders work wonders on bills and junk mail, turning them into easily discarded or recycled pulp. But magazines are heavier, more durable, more like books. You can’t just put them through a shredder, and throwing them out seems wrong. Instead they just sit, not being read and taking up valuable space.

Here are some creative uses for old magazines:

Recycle them! Recycling is an indispensable practice. Lots of local governments provide curbside recycling options, but if your city does not, look into it on your own. There may be a recycling center within driving distance where you could take your magazines and other recyclable materials periodically.

Try to find out if there is a local school that could use them. You could also check with local churches and community centers to see if they could use them for an after-school program. It is often difficult for these programs to afford art supplies, and old magazines are great for art projects.

If you have kids, or if you are crafty yourself, use them for art projects at home. Making collages and mixed media art is great way to occupy kids. It can also be a meditative, stress relieving activity for adults. Look through a magazine and cut out pictures that speak to you. You could choose a theme, such as animals, body parts, nature, or a certain color. Glue the cut out pictures onto paper. You could incorporate photos that you have of family or pets or scenery. Glue works, and you could also use a decoupaging technique. You could leave the collage as it is, or paint over and around the pictures. You can frame it, or glue other materials onto it. The possibilities are endless!

If you have really old magazines, you might find that they have become collectors’ items. If this is the case, they might be worth something. You could find a website through which to sell them. If you are wise about pricing, packing and shipping, you might be able to turn a decent profit. It would be great to add to your income as well as getting the magazines out of the way.

If selling them seems too much trouble or too time consuming, but you know they are collectors’ items, you could attempt to donate them to a library, a used bookstore, or a specialty vintage shop.

There are plenty of things that you can do with back issued of magazines you have lying around. Consider all of these options before simply throwing them away. We already have enough garbage piled up in landfills, and we should ass to it as little as possible.

Williams’ uproarious fast fire patter forms the centerpiece of this otherwise conventional tale, colorfully (and tunefully) shown. Cast includes Voices of Scott Weinger, Robin Williams, Linda Larkin, Jonathan Freeman, Frank Welker, Gilbert Gottfried, Douglas Seale and the harmonizing voices of Brad Kand and Lea Salonga.

You can still watch The Ploughman’s Lunch on DVD. Complicated, skeptical censure of British behaviors, ethics and affairs of state, focusing on the maneuvers of wholly egocentric journalist (Pryce) and others throughout the Falklands battle. The film is somewhat perceptive, within the restraints of its outlook. Cast includes Jonathan Pryce, Tim Curry, Rosemary Harris, Blunt Finlay, and Charlie Dore.

Rent a Kid is a fun little film about childrens. While the supervisor of an orphanage takes a holiday, dad Nielsen takes over with a plan to raise cash by renting out kids. While predictable, this stupid storyline is amazingly effectual. Eventually 3 children are rented by a trendy ’90s couple considering adopting. A good family movie. Cast includes Leslie Nielsen, Christopher Lloyd, Matt McCoy, Sherry Miller, and Amos Crawley.

A funny film to see is The Last Time I Saw Archie. Webb’s lone try at comedy is less ridiculous than some of his more earnest films; a shame, since William Bowers’ script-based on his own Army experiences had indisputable potential, and Mitchum enjoyably underplays as the con guy. By the way, the genuine Archie Chamber sued for invasion of privacy. Cast includes Robert Mitchum, Jack Webb, Martha Hyer, France Nuyen, Louis Nye, Richard Arlen, Don Tangles, Joe Flynn, and Robert Strauss.
