Craps is a fast-paced exciting game. In casinos, one can simply follow the noise, look for the crowd and find a craps table in full swing. Online Craps can be just as fun. First, it is important to understand the basics. Online Craps simulates the real thing. Online craps has generated a huge following where it is played by hundreds of thousands of online gamers worldwide.
Although craps can be a fairly intricate game with a lot of rules and complexities, the core objective is fairly simple. The game is based on the simple roll of the dice. The person rolling the dice is called The Shooter. He starts by placing a bet, then throws the dice on the craps table. The shooter wins by either rolling a 7 or 11, loses by rolling a 2, 3 or 12, or simply continues to roll if he throws a 4,5, 6, or 8, 9 or 10.
One common term is the come out roll, which can be the first roll of a new game, or the initial roll after the shooter has rolled his point number. The come out roll defines how the game progresses. Before rolling, however, the standard bet on the Pass Line is made. The shooter loses this if a two, three or twelve is rolled on the first throw of the dice. If the shooter initially rolls a 7 or 11, he wins even money on this bet. Point numbers are either a four through six, or eight through ten. If a player rolls a point number, he continues to roll and wants to get the number again to win. If he rolls a seven after the initial roll, he loses.
Another item on the craps table is the marker. This is a disc that looks like a hockey puck, and indicates where the game has progressed. When the marker is turned over to show its black side, and shows “off”, then the player has not yet rolled a point number. If the marker is white, shows “on” and has been placed on a number, then that is the point, which the player has already rolled.
The come and the pass line are the most common bets. The pass line bet is made before the dice are rolled. The come bet is also made before the dice is rolled, but is then placed on the point number that shows, and becomes the number that is bet on. Players win if a seven or eleven is rolled first, and lose immediately if a 2, 3, or 12 is rolled. If any other number shows, this defines the point, and the game continues. The shooter tries to roll his point before getting a seven. If a seven is rolled, the game starts over and the dice is passed clockwise.
Software simulators recreate live casino craps in virtual form. This software can be free, in the forms of Java or Flash. Users can download the software or use it through a gaming website. Although real money can be bet online, many states have declared this illegal. Gamers are advised to verify whether their state allows online gambling before placing real money bets. Almost every website allows free online craps as well.
This online dice game relies on a complex system of algorithms to determine each play. This is called Random Number Generation. These algorithms are designed to give the player similar winning odds to what he would receive while playing a real game in a casino.
A huge number of websites provide online craps. Players can download the game software for free. These websites provide easy explanation of rules, strategies and tips for betting. Craps can either be played for real money or for free. Even if an individual is precluded by law from betting real money, online craps is a fun way to improve skills before going to the casino to play.
