You should learn to play easy songs on the guitar when starting out on your musical career. Everyone should play a musical instrument. Music is the sound of the soul and everyone has a song within. Determine each week the time you will set aside for your lessons. The truth is that you have to spend the time and you need to block out the time and keep your lesson appointments.

You have an advantage that others did not have even ten years ago. There are many lessons on the internet you can learn to play with; take advantage of the free courses and then move up to the more advanced courses. If you have one hour per day to practice then great but if you have only one hour per week then that is all right to. But make sure you carve out time each week and stick to your plan.

You will soon be playing your first song. Pick your first song carefully because the first song you learn to play will always cause you to smile long after you are a guitar playing expert.
