She has also signed contract for 6th season and it is rumored that there is going to be two more of them. This is quite good news for The Hills fans.

The show was very popular till season two. New viewers joined everyday till the season 2 was on run. Later only the fans remained as the story lost its josh. There are spoilers located in this How to Train a Dragon movie review. The main character is named Hiccup, which describes him completely since he is a “mistake” in the ancient burly Viking village. This Disney movie smoothly plays into many traditional Disney movies such as Hiccup having a crush on a girl he will probably never get, he has to be the one to alter the tribe, and he is the son of one in charge of the group.

Armed with his intensely dry humor and his intelligence to create inventions rather than to beastly destroy life, he sets out determined to snag a dragon and take its heart back to his father. He arms his weapons, fires, and nails the dreaded “Night Fury” (the most dangerous of all dragons). The next day when he looks for the creature he is moved by the creature’s innocence and frees him. Then he begins his anthropological study of the creature and learns that everything that they know about dragons is a lie.

Mixed with the visual effects the comedy sits in nicely with the movie, although I won’t give away the climax. Although I don’t think it would have fit, there was no singing like in the regular 2D movies of the past. Disney blends comedy with some of the frightening scenes that leaves the kids laughing right after a scene that probably would have otherwise frightened them.This is a movie worth seeing in IMAX 3D.

The person that he has a crush on as well as the ending are really the only flaws in the movie. Truly you want the average Joe to get the beautiful girl that’s out of his league, but without any indication that she even liked Hiccup she suddenly falls for him. His personality and credibility I guess he is supposed to be so moving that the audience is supposed to overlook that. And the ending is highly predictable, however it is slightly redeemable because of the small tweak, but I won’t tell it.

Would this be something worth seeing? Yes, if there are hardcore Disney fans out there that want to see something for the whole family then don’t miss this one. But this may not be for you if you are looking for extremely hilarious or possibly more aggressive. This movie really stresses knowledge and learning over pure violence.

The 1920s era is described as roaring because the environment during that time is totally hyped up. Sometimes, it is also named as the Jazz Age, the Age of Intolerance or the Age of Wonderful Nonsense. Many names may be associated with this era but this period is simply the advent of Modern United States. From the 1920′s hairstyles to the well-known conquests of jazz, the Roaring Twenties exemplifies a time of change for everyone, a change that may somehow be viewed as both good and bad for modern America.

The term, Roaring Twenties, not only covers North America but also London, Paris and Berlin. It brought about a development of social, artistic and cultural dynamics that greatly affected their way of life during that period.

There were close to 150,000 anarchists or Communists living in the U.S. during this decade. Public confusion began in North America and spread like wildfire to Europe which was then reconstructing itself. North America, on the other hand, was headed the other direction and went back into provincialism. Ku Klux Klan reappeared and immigration laws became restraining and limiting.

The twenties was the end of the first word war and weapons were no longer needed so the US focused into a more peaceful economy. Minimum wage was at $5 per workday which was good at that time. Development of infrastructures started to soar high. The country prospered after a few years and America grew to become the richest nation in the world.

The second half of the roaring twenties was also called the Golden Twenties because economic development soared in Germany, Britain and France.

The 1920s steered and enriched American writing with amazing works from renowned authors like Sinclair Lewis, William Faulkner, F., Scott Fitzgerald, Carl Sandburg and Ernest Hemingway. Along with these development was the advent of Jazz music. Jazz started out as a form of expressing African sentiments but during the twenties, great musicians like Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington and Fletcher Henderson started to produce great music. Some have even brought their jazz influences to Broadway and concert halls.

Entertainment around America started to leave its footprints as we follow them today. It was at this age when Walt Disney produced his first cartoon, Alice in Wonderland. Charlie Chaplin and Rudolph Valentino are a few of the great actors during that period who got great box office success and they introduced dances including Foxtrot, Charleston and Flagpole sitting and flying stunts. Sports figures like Babe Ruth became heroes.

The L Word is one of the very few TV shows that managed to handle neatly the lifestyle of people with unusual sexual orientation. Based in Los Angeles, the show brought forth the lives of the lesbians and the relationship they shared with fellow friends and family people. The L word TV show had 90 episodes running for 6 years on the Showtime channel.

The show took an opening in January 2004 and season one saw the introduction of the main characters. Tina and Bette formed the lead pair who are in a relationship for seven years. When their wish to have a child is hampered by Tina’s miscarriage, things take a different turn and a love triangle entangles. All the 13 episodes were interesting with a lot of twists.

Season two showcased two extreme happenings for the split couple. While Tina successfully gets conceived, Bette undergoes a trauma of events. In the end, however the couple reunite and meanwhile the season introduces a lot of characters. This season which also had 13 episodes had scenes dealing with the troubled past of a character.

Season three was quite special featuring a short pre-credits vignette. The vignette had every new couple a week involved romantically. Season four announced that the show was being renewed after which it lasted two seasons. Post the show telecast, videos were released that had the characters disclosing the secrets that they never shared on the screen.

The show was received very well. It was a huge hit with the people right away and it became famous in a very short period. Portraying the life of lesbians was a very different idea and it clicked with the masses. The show was full of unknown exhilarating life of lesbians and how they have sex even in the public places. It was also appreciated for portraying lesbians in the much needed light.

The L Word was praised for focusing on more than just the sexual life of the lesbians. Relationships were given a higher importance which was appreciated and it was a meaningful story set against a trendy milieu. Though the show was unique and was received well, the theme songs and few dialogues that lacked elegance let down the fans.

Laurel Holloman won the best actress award at the satellite awards for beautifully essaying the role of Tina Kennard. The L Word had a nomination filed for the satellite award for best television series- drama. The role of Bette’s father fetched the outstanding guest actor award at the Emmys. The lead pair of the show bagged awards for performing the sexiest scene on television.

Where the Wild Things Are Movie is a different kind of fantasy entertainer in which a nine year old boy gets to become the most celebrated king of an island where the wild things inhabit. Max Records plays the key role of the boy Max and the journey of max towards the island is the major plot of the story which is told as an adventurous drama.

Max, who gets upset with his mom and sister goes away from his home. He gets a boat and starts up a journey without any intention; this is how he reaches the island. He dresses in a wolf’s costume and wanders about in the island. Being in the same costume he is encountered by seven large creatures of the jungle.

Finding himself as the subject of the big creatures’ rage, Max lies that he is a king who has come as a harmonizer for the group. He intelligently lies that he has magical powers in order to escape from being eaten by the group. Before the truth is found out, he manages to win the support of the wild things and at last he understands the troubled position of his mother and decides to return back.

The whole plot is a very interesting drama and the movie though being a fantasy film manages to connect emotionally with the people. This is one of the major reasons for the movie successfully ending as one of the top ten movies of the year 2009. The movie is a blend of live action, computer generated imagery and animation. It also stands unique with the lead character of the movie being dressed up in a wolf costume.

The director of the movie is Spike Jonze and the movie was targeted at the adults during the promotions rather than the kids alone. Though having a great opening, the movie did not make up the $100 million dollars which was spent on its production. The film was released in Australia, Ireland, U.K, and Germany and also is to be released in Russia.

The film didn’t do well at the box office, in the sense it brought no profit for the producers. But it had a 73% rating for fresh film and also was appreciated for bringing the “otherworldly” effect so well. It also had many inventions showcased which made it amazing and interesting. The film was also criticised on the downside for the exhausted look which it had as the film progressed.

However the film being meant for children had scenes in which the children were shown to portray adult emotions such as violence and threat. For these reasons the film was made under the parental guidance status at theatres. The director later quoted on this point saying that this was a film about children and not for them on the whole.

When a person thinks about another person having esp, sometimes it is completely unbelievable. There are so many people learning how to develop esp, the actual people that can develop esp are limited.
