Modern Portable Toilets – They’re Not Your Father’s John
If you asked a random group of people to describe portable toilets you would undoubtedly develop a list with some of these adjectives: smelly, gross, disgusting, hot, scary and nasty. People do not like to use these types of facilities if they can avoid it… until now.
The modern portable toilet is not your father’s john. New mobile restrooms have taken leaps forward in comfort, odor reduction, ease of cleaning, comfort and even attractiveness. Of course, traditional portable toilets are still available for those who want to purchase or rent them. These units offer a ramp with no step up to enter the cabin, make getting into the restroom very easy. Wheelchairs can pass easily through the extra-wide 36″ door and the cabin has enough room to maneuver a wheelchair easily. Grab rails provide added safety.
Cleaning the units is very straightforward. Some portable restrooms have a locking cabinet under the sink. Instead of carrying cleaning supplies from cabin to cabin, they can be conveniently left locked under the sinks. Women’s units often come equipped with feminine hygiene receptacles, which are easy to empty without being exposed to the contents. No chemicals are necessary to cut odor in the restrooms with exterior holding tanks or connections to septic or sewer systems.
Green or eco-friendly portable toilets have low-flow, water conserving toilets and faucets. The paper products used in these units are made from 100% recycled materials, are chlorine free and metered out by an automatic towel dispenser. All of the cleaners and solvents used, including hand sanitizers, are bio-degradable, do not contain any ether, butyl, glycol or any other toxic chemicals.
