The ability to foresee events that may occur in the future before there is any way possible to know about them is often called precognition. These visions are sometimes symbolic and the person that experiences it has to try to decode the message that is in the vision. Other times they are very straight forward and the person is able to look straight into the future. Many people are of the belief that time is a spiral variant, not linear. This is why they believe you can see, at times, straight into the future.
Understanding precognition is essential to really know how it happens. Most people confuse precognition with clairvoyance. Clairvoyance is the ability to see people, situations and problems in the present while precognition concerns the future. Clairvoyance uses ESP or Extra Sensory perception while precognition is more paranormal in nature. The word ‘precognition’ means knowing before.
Dreaming presents the easiest way to experience precognition. Dreaming about the future is something that most people do from time to time but they are often unable to remember their dreams. They do sometimes feel a sense of “dejavu”, or that they have been in the same place once before. This nearly always comes from a precognition that they have had in a dream but were unable to remember.
It is possible for a trained mystic to see the future on a regular basis while they are awake. This is only possible if they have devoted a large amount of practice and it is still very uncommon. These mystics or seers make use of their conscious to allow them to see the future.
There are even some psychics that use things like a mirror or a crystal ball to aid them in their precognition.
Precognition can be achieved by anyone. All you need to do is to sharpen your intuitive abilities. An average person does not think beyond his five senses. He does not listen to his intuition or gut feel. You need to start listening to your intuition or gut feel to enhance your precognitive abilities. Paying attention to subtle environment around you and believing in your subtle senses is an important step to develop precognition.
People don’t realize that they are more than just a mere physical body. Their emotions and energies are also a part of their make up. Hence, you need to pay attention to how you feel on a particular day to know in advance, what the day may bring to you. You can develop your precognitive abilities by playing guessing games. Take a pack of playing cards and try guessing which card will come next.
Your precognitive abilities make use of your dreams as an instrument for their development. You should begin keeping track of the dreams that you have each time you wake up. Put adream journal close by the bed to make it easier. You should include as many of the details as you can remember and do it right when you wake up. If you are not to good at writing or that wouldn’t work for you then try using a small tape recorder and recording the dream in your own words as soon as you wake up. Once you have done this for a while you will find that you are able to remember the dreams much easier than you have in the past.
When dreams repeat themselves you should take time to look for meanings that are hidden in the dream or for symbols or signs that will help you understand the meaning that is underneath the dream.
Other than via dreams, you can develop precognition using hypnosis and meditation. Meditation is said to be the practice of allowing your mind to fall quiet so it is open to the highest levels of consciousness in the universe. It is commonly a belief that there is a central life force that flows through each of us and that we are all connected to each other by it. As you are able to clear the chaos from your daily life from your head your mind will become quiet and you can feel the connection to supreme consciousness and you will know the past and the future.
Meditation is a method that has been around for many years. Many thinkers, seers, and sages have used this practice all over the world. There are actually several ways to meditate. One group of people prefers to have perfect quiet and solitude when they meditate while others would like to have the natural sounds of life around them. No matter what the preference is, your mind will surely wander in the beginning and you may have to fight through several thoughts. Just keep brining your mind back to the thought of making the mind still and simply observing, not wandering into, the random thoughts that are going by. You will slowly find yourself in the area that the mountain of information is stored in the universal consciousness.
Fear is something that detours many people from their quest to develop precognition. They are afraid of the future because it will, most likely, end with a death and a separation from the ones that they love. The fear blocks the inflow of the universal information. This is why it is so important to remove all fear from your psyche if you wish to develop precognition. It can be simple to develop precognition as long as you are consistent and are willing to give constant practice.
