Why do most people think that it is easy to be a funny guy? It isn’t and if you are not born with it, then God help you! In fact, if it was so easy, wouldn’t everyone earn a lot of money making people laugh day after day? But hang on. If you only want to learn a thing or two about being “funnier”, then the tips here will help you out. These are from big name comedians themselves.
Many jokes make fun of yourself. If you are bald, make fun of that. It will work without fail. Take a look at Borat. He is a jew and he made a career out of making fun of jews! Or Chris Rock for that matter. He made a career out of making fun of Blacks. The point here is that it is always funny and people always have a good time listening to such jokes.
Remember, physical humor is a goldmine. Falling on stage or hurting yourself accidentally in any way will be riot. Of course, for it to work, it needs to be convincing. The best example is the jackass crew. They made money by punishing themselves. I’m not scheming to make yourself hurt you, haha. I’m trying to tell you what humor actually works!
The key to humor is surprise. Bigger the better. Example: Make your introducer call out your name and send a donkey out in front. A moment later, you can go in and say “sorry people, my double got confused and came out instead”. This will work like magic. Of course, you need to get a donkey to do that, but that is secondary! But you get the point right? This will work even tough crowds!
