There have been some problems over that past few years with internet bootleggers really hitting the music industry and the movie industry very hard with illegal downloads. I have drawn a comparison with the older games I used to play on my consoles at home. The games were not as amazing in the graphics and realism side of things, but they were very playable and kept you coming back for more. Through simpler controls it was fairly easy to learn how to play the games and took a long time to master. This is however not the case with many of the newer games these days.

Many of the games these days just look and feel like you are part of an interactive movie and as a result you will almost definitely only play it once. There are exceptions such as the Grand Theft Auto series and this could be partly why it has become so popular.
