Very few people acknowledge the presence of an internal energy reservoir in our bodies that is responsible for our physical and mental well-being. This lack of knowledge is more prevalent in the Western world, as the concept of spiritual energy was more prevalent and adhered to in the eastern countries, like India.

Most commonly, this is known as ‘Chakra Energy’, or the energy generated by the seven primary energy centers in the body. These energy centers are situated from the base of spine upwards to the head. A brief description of location of seven Chakras won’t be out of place:

* Root or the Base Chakra (RED) located at the base of the spine, known as the coccyx.

* Spleen Chakra (ORANGE) located in the lower abdomen region, just below the navel.

* Solar Plexus or the Power Chakra (YELLOW) located in the stomach region, just above the navel.

* Heart Chakra (GREEN) situated in the center of the chest.

* Throat Chakra (BLUE) located in the throat region.

* Brow Chakra (INDIGO) situated on the forehead.

* Crown Chakra (VIOLET) located on top of the head.

These Chakras are in constant state of movement, which produces the energy, known as Chakra Energy. For the normal physical and mental health of the body, the synergy between the movements of these seven charkas plays the all-important role.

The movement of the Chakras has to be harmonious in order to produce the desired effect. Naturally, the movement of Chakra is in sync, but imbalance can occur due to several physical or emotional pressures. The remedy is simply to work towards the achievement of Chakra Balance through physical and metaphysical means.

So, what’s exactly Chakra Energy and how it influences our physical and mental well being? The Chakra System in our body is primarily responsible for the smooth functioning of every organ. As every bodily organ is connected with the brain through a complex web of nerves, the Chakras rotate to provide the necessary energy for all the nerves and organs so that they perform their natural functions in an unhindered manner. They not only rotate, but also the movement of their rotation is so synchronized that they complement each other in a unique way.

But the modern man has divided the control over the Earth’s blessings, resulting in constant struggle and over-dependence science to augment the supplies of even the basic necessities. You pray day and night with deep faith, but God does not seem to hear you. You remain jobless, your friend remains seriously ill and the man of your dreams is nowhere in sight. What should you do?

Continuing to wait in prayer and doing nothing, you believe God will see your faith. God may be teaching you the virtue of patience and you accept God’s silence with a stoic resignation that your prayers have not been heard yet.

Perhaps you think that if you pray longer and harder, God will eventually answer your prayer. After all, isn’t that what Jesus was implying in the parable he told about a man who kept knocking at his neighbour’s door in the middle of the night asking for bread, until his neighbour finally got up and gave him the bread just to make him go away (Luke 11: 5-8)? What about the parable that Jesus told about the widow who kept coming back to an unjust judge begging for justice until she wore him out that he finally relented and granted her justice (Luke 18: 2-5)?

Sometimes praying seems to leave you feeling like the nagging wife. You hope for an answer to your heart’s desires. Pray persistently and you will get what you want. But is that really what Jesus was saying? Will God grant your request just to get rid of you therefore allowing him to attend to countless others so demanding of His attention?

You know God is all loving. Jesus personifies the character of God in the flesh. The Bible shows various accounts of Him being prepared to help the needy and showing compassion towards them. God always hears and answers prayers. The immediate response to a prayer may be a resounding ‘Yes.’ At other times you receive a negative response despite persistent prayer and the patience you believe you exhibit as the wait continues.

Still, have no doubt that God wants you to pray persistently. Why? Let’s look at the life of the apostle Paul. He had what he referred to as “a thorn in the flesh” (2 Corinthians 12:7). He didn’t say what it was but it must have been a chronic and debilitating problem which at times kept him from doing his work. He prayed more than once for God to take this ‘thorn’ away. But did he get what he prayed for? No!

Paul got something better. Paul prayed persistently with faith and heard God’s voice. Paul learned God’s will in his life. God told him, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”(2 Corinthians: 9) Paul realized that his ‘thorn in the flesh’ prevented him from being conceited. Paul had many wonderful spiritual experiences and developed great preaching prowess and it was difficult not to brag. The ‘thorn’ kept him humble. Paul was aware of his weaknesses and knew that his achievements were gifts from God and not of his own making.

You see, returning to God again and again in prayer keeps your communication lines with Him open. It gives God an opportunity to communicate with you and more importantly, gives you an opportunity to hear Him. It is usually after you have prayed and prayed that you run out of words and then, you stop talking and hear God in the silence.

Praying persistently is a way to rely on God for His solution to a problem. You may think that you know the solution so you pray and pray for it, but your solution may not be God’s. There are times when God has to bend your will to match His and it is only when you pray persistently that you begin to realize that you have to let go of your own solutions and let God work in your life. Oftentimes, our first prayers are not the best ones and so sometimes, God makes us wait. If we keep on praying, God will reshape our desires until they match His desires.

Pray persistently because you know the communications lines are open and God is listening. Actively speaking with God opens the way for resolution. Do not lose heart. Keep praying. Hold on to the greatest opportunity by allowing God to work through you, in you and with you.

Pray for the right reasons and experience His presence, experience His goodness, experience His mercy and experience His power in your life!

Most dreams are a series of images, and remembering one could trigger a sequence. If you cannot recall any images, try to remember how you are feeling as this too could trigger a fragment of a dream.

It is very important that you write in your dream diary first thing in the morning before you do anything else. Include all the detail you can remember, regardless of whether you think it is relevant, and even if it doesn’t make sense. I also recommend that you write in the present tense as this makes the dreams seem more realistic. Begin by writing down the basic themes and your feelings during the dream, then you can add the specifics later.

The more regularly you write down your dreams the more associations you will be able to make. You will notice that particular people or objects will make regular appearances, or you may notice that you dream about the same place but with different people. You will also begin to notice patterns in your dreams, and associate these with your feelings at the time, such as stress, or happiness.

By keeping a full record of your dreams, you’ll be able to discover your own method of controlling out of body experiences. This is not something that you will acquire instantly, it requires practice and concentration, but will happen eventually.

Dreams use a language of metaphor and symbol to convey their meaning. Sometimes the symbol may be fairly straightforward, but other times it could be completely baffling. The exact significance of a dream symbol is specific to each individual and his or her own experiences. To gain control over your out of body experiences you must learn to interpret your dream language.
